General Terms and Conditions (GTC) – RENTAL HERO

1. Contracting Parties

  1. This website mediates accommodations on behalf of the respective accommodation (hereinafter“ACCOMMODATION”).

  2. The user who makes a reservation (hereinafter“TRAVELLER”), enters into the accommodation contractdirectlywith the ACCOMMODATION.

  3. The technical booking and payment processing is carried out via the platformRENTAL HERO, which is used as an independent system for the secure management of online reservations.

RENTAL HERO is purely a technical service provider and will not be a contracting party to the accommodation contract.

2. Responsibility for Content

All information about the accommodation (e.g. facilities, prices, conditions) is provided by the ACCOMMODATION itself.

RENTAL HERO assumes no liability for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of this information.

3. Booking Process

  1. The TRAVELLER is responsible for the correct entry of all personal data as well as arrival and departure dates.

  2. To confirm the booking, adepositis required according to the specifications of the ACCOMMODATION.

  3. Any administrative fees indicated during the booking process are part of the reservation.

  4. The payment methods offered are determined by the ACCOMMODATION and technically provided through RENTAL HERO.

  5. If payment or validation is not made on time, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.

  6. After a successful booking, the TRAVELLER will receive abooking confirmationwith all relevant details.

4. Final payment and additional costs

  1. The remaining amount of the reservation will be collected according to the payment policy defined by the ACCOMMODATION,no later than 15 days before arrival.Additional services (e.g. cleaning fees, optional extras, tourist tax) will be charged separately unless explicitly included in the reservation.

The prices stated are per stay and accommodation and include:

– statutory taxes,

– normal consumption of water, gas, and electricity,

– bed linen, towels, and basic household equipment, unless expressly stated otherwise.

Deviations apply only if they are clearly indicated before booking.

6. Maximum occupancy and stay obligations

The number of guests must not exceed the maximum occupancy. Children under 3 years are exempt unless otherwise defined.

  1. Pets are only allowed if this is explicitly stated in the accommodation description or agreed in writing.

  2. Haustiere sind nur erlaubt, wenn dies ausdrücklich in der Unterkunftsbeschreibung oder schriftlich vereinbart wurde.

  3. The TRAVELLER agrees to treat the accommodation with care, adhere to house rules, and report any damages immediately.

  4. In the case of serious violations (e.g. noise disturbances, disregard for house rules, intentional damage), the ACCOMMODATION may require animmediate evictionwithout a right to a refund.

  5. Damages may be deducted from the required deposit.

7. Key handover

The key handover takes place at the time and place specified in the booking voucher.

Late or unannounced arrivals may lead to theforfeiture of the reservationwithout a right to a refund.

8. Cancellation policy

8.1 Cancellation policy via RENTAL HERO (secured)

– Free cancellation up to30 days before arrival.

– Refund of the deposit, minus:

– Cancellation fees (total amount of the reservation + 2% of the payment)

– +2% surcharge for international cards, B2B cards, and AMEX

8.2 Cancellation policy of the ACCOMMODATION

– Full refund for cancellations within 48 hours of booking and at least 30 days before arrival

– Cancellation 7–30 days before arrival:50%of the total price

– Cancellation <7 days before arrival or no-show:100%of the total price

– Unused nights will not be refunded

RENTAL HERO acts as a neutral intermediary and ensures that the contractually agreed cancellation policy is implemented correctly.

9. Changes and cancellations by the accommodation

In the case of rare technical double bookings or unavailability, the ACCOMMODATION must:

  1. offer an equivalent or better replacement accommodation,or

  2. refund the entire amount already paid (minus the fees charged by RENTAL HERO).

No further claims exist.

10. Payment processing and card data

  1. Payments are processed through RENTAL HERO's secure payment system in cooperation with PAYTPV (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified).

  2. Card data is stored securely and is not visible to the ACCOMMODATION.

  3. RENTAL HERO may stop suspicious transactions or cancel reservations.

  4. The TRAVELLER agrees to provide proof of identity and cardholder if required.

11. Data protection

  1. RENTAL HERO processes personal data on behalf of the ACCOMMODATION in accordance with applicable data protection law.

  2. Data is only shared for the purpose of fulfilling the reservation.

  3. The ACCOMMODATION is responsible for the lawful handling of guest data.

12. Limitation of liability

  1. RENTAL HERO is solely a technical service provider and bears no responsibility for:

    – the quality or condition of the accommodation,

    – incorrect information provided by the ACCOMMODATION,

    – failures or breaches of contract by the ACCOMMODATION.

  2. The ACCOMMODATION is liable for all services related to the stay.

13. Applicable law and jurisdiction

The law of the country in which the respective ACCOMMODATION is located applies.

The competent court is the court responsible for the location of the accommodation.

14. Severability Clause

Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be invalid, the remaining regulations shall remain unaffected. Instead of the invalid provision, a legally permissible provision shall apply that comes as close as possible to the economic purpose.
